Description
This guide specifies the basic tasks and responsibilities of the New Approach Consultants working with CEN and CENELEC.
NOTE For specific subjects e.g. Ecodesign, Railways, Transport of dangerous goods, additional tasks and responsibilities may apply.
It deals with the:
a) role and profile of the consultant;
b) main tasks and responsibilities of the consultant;
c) consultant's involvement in the development of standards:
1) involvement from the time of the creation of the NWI,
2) assessment at Enquiry stage,
3) assessment prior to Formal Vote/UAP,
4) resolution of disputes;
d) selection of a new consultant;
e) induction and introduction of a new consultant;
f) handover from previous consultant;
g) reporting and evaluation of consultant's work;
h) treatment of complaints.
