Description
Specifies requirements for the connection of washing machines, dishwashers and other appliances to the water mains. The standard is to prevent backsiphonage of non-potable water into the water mains. It is also to prevent flooding due to failure of hose sets. The standard covers both permanent and temporary connection to the water mains, and also connection to a cistern. It also applies to appliances in shops and communal flats.
